The Pregnancy Resource Center is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:
PATIENT ADVOCATE (NRV)
Part-time, 3 days/week, Monday (Radford), Wednesday (Radford) and Thursday (Blacksburg) 0900-500
The PRC is seeking a Patient Advocate that will serve the PRC as a trained lay counselor through programs including, but not limited to, pregnancy options counseling, STI counseling, and emotional and spiritual support. This candidate will work with the Center Director towards administrating overall patient care. This candidate will work in Radford on Monday and Wednesday and Blacksburg on Thursday and provide coverage in Wytheville periodically as needed.
Qualifications:
- A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including active membership and participation in a local church.
- Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, the Mission Statement, Core Values of the organization and policies of the center.
- Skilled in interpersonal relations, communication, compassionate caregiving, and discerning lay counseling.
- Demonstrated administrative, organizational and writing skills.
- Current and relevant computer skills (Microsoft Office, patient management tools, etc).
- Self-motivated, dependable, independent and responsible.
- Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
- Two years’ experience in a human/social services field desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in human/social services preferred.
Communications Manager (Blacksburg/Not Remote)
Part Time, 25-30 hrs/week, M-Th, Blacksburg office between 900-500, Start date in May
The Communications Manager manages all communications and client outreach resources to promote the mission of the PRC. Promotions include, but are not limited to materials for donor events, client outreach events, fundraisers, regular written publications, website information and more. The Communications Manager implements the VWC’s client outreach plan in the community. By utilizing a professional team of designers, marketing professionals, and website professionals, the Communications Manager will create and distribute and promote online and physical materials to use with donors and potential clients. The Communications Manager works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Doner Development Director to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.

- Self-motivated, dependable, responsible.
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college (Preferred).

Patient Coordinator (Wytheville)
Part time 16-18 hrs/week, Tu/Wed 830-500

The person in this role manages initial client care in a fast-paced environment including greeting clients, facilitating initial paperwork, answering phones and scheduling appointments. This position supports client services staff via data entry, clerical duties, and general office management. The Patient Coordinator reports directly to and works closely with the Center Director to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.
